American Repertory Ballet presents the New York premiere of celebrated choreographer Kirk Peterson's Carmen on October 5 at John Jay College. With music by Rodion Shchedrin, the ballet stars Nanako Yamamoto as the titular heartbreaker. In the video above, watch Nanako dance the iconic "Habanera" from Carmen in rehearsal for the one-night-only event. Warning: It's absolutely everything! Don't miss Kirk Peterson's Carmen tonight at Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College beginning at 8 PM. Also on the bill are Peterson's The Eyes That Gently Touch and Mary Barton Straight Up with a Twist.
