What was your first New York City apartment like?
I moved into this place that was basically at Penn Station with two girls I didn’t know. It was ok. It had a cool roof—it was one of those quintessential roofs where you could see the Empire State Building and I was like, “I’m here! I’m in New York!” But I have moved so many times.
What do you love most about your neighborhood right now?
I lived in the East Village for five years and I just moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn, and it’s a whole new world full of babies and dogs. It’s nice to leave the crazy city and then to come back into it—it’s a thrill every time I come back in.
What was the first Broadway show you saw?
I think it was Chicago. I was a kid and I was like “Wow, what a life.”
What’s your New York City happy place?
There’s this rice patty burger place, Yonekichi. I get this salmon burger there. It's delicious, check it out.
When you were growing up in Philly, what film or TV show did you watch where you thought, “That’s life in New York!”?
I watched a lot of Seinfeld
