Tony Award nominee Montego Glover slayed the house down as Felicia in the Tony-winning Memphis—her big song "Colored Woman" was the true definition of a showstopper. She also gave memorable performances as Fantine in Les Miserables and maid of honor (and then some) Annie in It Shoulda Been You. Now, Montego is starring as Xholiswa, a political refugee living in 1980s England and the mother of a young music prodigy, in the new Broadway-bound musical Sousatzka
.Montego took BroadwayBox Instagram along with her on March 18 to give followers a first-look at the musical through a two-show-day at Sousatzka's world premiere Toronto run. Scroll on for all the backstage frivolity (and to learn how to correctly pronounce her character's name!).
If you're in Toronto, don't miss Sousatzka at the Elgin Theatre through April 9; if you're in NYC, hold tight!
