New York Theatre Workshop's revival of Caryl Churchill's Light Shining in Buckinghamshire
kicks off with a captivating monologue by Matthew Jeffers. Directed by Rachel Chavkin, the 1976 play dramatizes the 1647 events surrounding the English Civil War. Matthew Jeffers begins the play with a prayer to God that is so masterfully performed, it had to be preserved for our new monologue series. See Matthew live off-Broadway in Light Shining in Buckinghamshire through June 3.Skip to main content
