New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse (Broadway's new go-to out of town house) hosts the world premiere musical adaptation of A Bronx Tale February 4 through March 6. Stars of the iconic film Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri are working on it as the co-director and author, respectively, with Tony Award winners Jerry Zaks and Alan Menken.
Playing Lorenzo Anello, a bus driver from the Bronx doing his best to raise his family (and De Niro's role from the film), is Broadway fave Richard H. Blake (Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, Wicked, The Wedding Singer). On January 26, Blake took over the BroadwayBox Instagram to bring followers behind the scenes for the first day of A Bronx Tale tech rehearsals.
