Can you believe that until now there was no video online of Bright Star's big act II song "Another Round"?! The Steve Martin and Edie Brickell toe-tapper was one of my go-to songs in 2016, especially when preparing for a night out or a rowdy brunch.
Well, thanks to footage from the recent Bright Star reunion concert at Town Hall, we now have video of Emily Padgett, Jeff Blumenkrantz, and A.J. Shively in all their boozy Hayes Creek glory. For those who may not be familiar with the set up, the song came when young writer Billy Cane (A.J. Shively) goes to the local bar to unwind with his colorful Asheville Southern Journal coworkers, fellow aspiring writer Darryl (Jeff Blumenkrantz) and Lucy (Emily Padgett), who like Melanie Griffith has a head for business and a bod for sin. The result is a big, fabulous dance number about getting turnt.
