Disney announced today that they are making Broadway millennials' dreams come true and reviving Elton John and Tim Rice’s Tony Award-winning musical Aida in 2021. Directed by original Broadway cast member Schele Williams and choreographed by Tony nominee Camille A Brown, the re-imagined new production (featuring a revised book by Pulitzer winner David Henry Hwang) will tour North America following the February 2021 premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse. No casting is announced yet, but it’s too soon to go down that road.
