Ulterior Motives: This Tony-nominated Best Musical opened on this date August 10, 1986 at Broadway's Marquis Theatre and picked up Tony Awards for its stars Robert Lindsay and Maryann Plunkett, as well as Best Choreography for Gillian Gregory.
Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: This is one of the most underrated Tony night numbers. It's repetitive AF but I can't get enough. I love when Maryann Plunkett joins in at 1:35 but I especially lose it for all the spoon action at 2:45 and how into the audience is when it comes time for participation.
