Even dogs get a bit starstruck from time to time. Currently on the New York landscape, there are three pooches winning huge applause (and a few treats) for their show-stealing performances in a trio of musicals. The pups are all rescued and trained by Tony winner Bill Berloni (pictured center). BroadwayBox recently caught up with Romeo (making a killing with Michael Park in Atlantic Theatre Company’s Threepenny Opera), Trixie (kiking with Tony winner Karen Ziemba in Woody Allen’s Bullets Over Broadway) and Roxie (who’s lapping up drinks with Tony winner Audra McDonald in Lady Day) and asked them: Which celebrity dog would you most like to share a bone with after your show?
Romeo, Threepenny Opera
"Fluffy," the three-headed dog from Harry Potter. He has a cool name, drools like me and seems like a lot of fun.
Trixie, Bullets Over Broadway
Marti, who is the new Sandy in the upcoming Jay-Z, Will Smith movie of Annie. She looks like she could be my long lost sister.
Roxie, Lady Day
I already live with the dog actors that play Sandy, Toto and Bruiser and I am sick of their show biz stories. I want to meet a rich dog celebrity like Bo Obama and move into the White House.
Check out these dogs in action in their respective musicals now!
