Some of your favorite musical theatre stars are continuing to share their talent virtually these days. Broadway Isolation Project is another of these fantastic showcases.
Broadway Isolation Project has released nine videos over the past two weeks with a set list of some of your favorite duets, trios and even quartets from the musical theatre canon. According to their YouTube page, the series describes itself as follows: "Musical theatre duets, trios, quartets in isolation, from isolation. A reminder of how connected we all are in times of uncertainty."
There is a wonderful Broadway team behind the scenes as the series was created by Max Quinlan from the Broadway and National touring production of Les Misérables. Serving as musical director and pianist is Elizabeth Doran, associate conductor and orchestra member of Mean Girls. The series is edited by Blake Zelesnikar who was an ensemble member in the touring companies of Mean Girls, An American in Paris, The Phantom of the Opera and Flashdance.
It just so happens that two of the songs as part of the Broadway Isolation Project series are two that were performed on Broadway by Brent Carver. Brent Carver, the beloved Broadway actor who appeared as Leo Frank in Parade and Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman for which he won a Tony Award, passed away last week. We wanted to highlight four fantastic pieces from this Broadway Isolation Project series leading with two of Brent's songs.
Be sure to give Broadway Isolation Project a follow on Instagram and check out their YouTube channel. Enjoy these incredible performances!
