Congratulations are in order to newly awarded Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner Alan Menken! The multi-award winning composer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song in a Children's, Young Adult or Animated Program over the weekend (along with his Tangled film collaborator Glenn Slater) for writing a Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure tune "Waiting In The Wings" which was featured on the Disney Channel series. Alan Menken's music has appeared on many Broadway stages with thanks to Disney on Broadway film to stage adaptations of magical titles like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Newsies working with lyricists Howard Ashman, Jack Feldman, Tim Rice and Stephen Schwartz.
