The Netflix adaptation of the 2018 Broadway production of The Boys in the Band is premiering on the streaming service September 30, 2020. In tact from the Broadway run is director Joe Mantello and the nine fantastic men who appeared onstage at the Booth Theatre: Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin De Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington and Tuc Watkins.
The Boys in the Band on Broadway was summarized as "a group of gay men who gather in an NYC apartment for a friend's birthday party. After the drinks are poured and the music is turned up, the evening slowly exposes the fault lines beneath their friendships and the self-inflicted heartache that threatens their solidarity."
