We realize you may not have the hours to troll the internet’s cave of wonders (aka YouTube) for glorious treasure, but, thankfully, we at BroadwayBox do. So enjoy these four videos from the week that made every day feel like Friday afternoon.
#1. There could be a college dissertation written on all the moments of gold and flashes of light that happened when Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan covered Celine Dion’s ultimate power ballad “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now,” but like those nights of endless pleasure, let’s not spoil it by talking too much.
#2. Did you know January 16 is national hot and spicy food day?! #RealLife. And what better way to celebrate than by serving you Broadway’s hottest dish right now? Click and let On the Town’s Alysha Umphress and Jay Armstrong Johnson steal your hearts in “I Can Cook Too.” Seconds of all of that to go, please!
#3. While playing around on YouTube looking for Constellations b-roll (shh), we happened to stumble onto this video trailer for MTC’s next show, Airline Highway, and after just one minute, it jumped to the top play we need to see this spring.
#4. Another spring trailer that gave ever-lasting life was the manic montage of the madcap musical On the Twentieth Century. Only Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth could give you a three-act-play’s worth of moments in a silent 30-second clip.
