Tickets at Music Box Theatre
The Music Box was opened in 1921 by producer Sam H. Harris and composer Irving Berlin to showcase a series of Berlin’s “Music Box Revues.” Heralded on more than one occasion as the “best looking house on Broadway,” this 87-year-old venue has only been home to legitimate theater—unlike many of its neighbors.
To this day, The Music Box is co-owned by Irving Berlin’s estate along with the Shubert Organization.

Story for Shuffle Along
The 2016 Shuffle Along, created anew by a remarkable constellation of artists, brings the original show back to glorious life, while simultaneously telling the heretofore unknown backstage saga of its creation — and how it changed the world it left behind.
Critics’ Reviews for Shuffle Along
"...Ms. McDonald is a one-woman time machine de luxe, who translates the precise stylistic quirks of a bygone era into a melting immediacy. "
"Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter, Brandon Victor Dixon and Joshua Henry star in the show, all dancing to Savion Glover's choreography. Each of these men is worthy of having their own show. Putting them together is insane. Oh, and Audra McDonald just happens to be in it, too..."
"...it's a genuine thrill to watch this outrageously talented cast herald the achievements of a team that brought innovative black artistry to mainstream American theater."
