Broadway stars Jeremy Jordan (Newsies), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date) & Andy Mientus (Les Miserables) sat down with BroadwayBox.com to look back on their time as badass genius Jimmy Collins, diva-in-training Ana Vargas and sensitive Tony winner Kyle Bishop, respectively, in the TV show Smash. The trio of hot, young stars are reuniting at 54 Below on December 8 and 9 for a live presentation of Smash’s fictional musical Hit List. When we caught up with the gang, we just had one question on our mind: If you could only put ONE Smash moment on your reel, which would you choose? Check out their responses below.
Jeremy Jordan (Jimmy Collins)
“There are a lot of great moments, but honestly I’d have to do ‘Broadway Here I Come.’ It was the first big thing on there, and I was thrilled and excited and just crazy about the opportunity—the idea of the song and the introduction into television. It was one of the biggest moments in my life.”Krysta Rodriguez (Ana Vargas)
“I would put hanging upside down from the silk stuff. That’s not something most people get to do. I learned it; I did it; and I’d like to actually show that I learned a new skill that I never want to do again.”Andy Mientus (Kyle Bishop)
“I would choose one of the scenes I did with Christian Borle because we had such unexpected chemistry. I just loved working with him so much. It was the kind of thing where we’d shoot the scene and then look at each other afterwards and say, ‘that was really good; I really felt something.’ So it would definitely be something with him.”
